Procedure Candidate
ReFirme is ideal for targeting those telltale signs of aging, including, jowl
and neck laxity, sagginess under the eyes, saggy brow lines, and nasolabial
folds.
Patients can be successfully treated on many areas of the body where skin is
loose or sagging. Anywhere form the face to the stomach, upper arms, legs or
hands can be treated. Patients do not have to be concerned with skin type or
with pigmentation. Patients of all ages, sizes, and skin types can be treated.
Discription of Procedure
The ReFirme procedure for skin tightening and wrinkle treatment is very easy to
perform. The technician selects a level of Bi-Polar Radio Frequency and a
contact cooling temperature treatment choice of either Normal (10°C) or
Strong (5°C). Clear coupling gel is applied to the face. A full face pass
is performed first on the patient. The patient will immediately notice the
contact cooling and the gentle thermal effect as the applicator is pulsed on
the face and neck. The ReFirme application is virtually painless and the
contact cooling temperature can be changed to Strong when treating over bony
prominences.
The ST applicator has a treatment area of 8mm x 12mm (96 sq. mm per pulse) with
a repetition rate of 1.2 Hz in auto repeat mode. Once the full face and neck
pass has been performed, the applicator should be targeted to the following
areas for multiple pass technique to sequentially layer the desired thermal
effect for optimal treatment.
The infrared light travels through to deeper layers of skin causing the
tightening of the collagen architecture. The heat is applied deep within the
skin, some swelling and redness may occur. A single procedure may take an hour.
The treatment protocol is 3 to 5 treatments every 2 to 4 weeks. A maintenance
treatment is recommended once every 3 to 6 months to maintain the optimized
results obtained from the ReFirme procedure.
Results may be seen over time however full benefits will not be observed for at
least three to six months

There is minimal to no downtime. Most people experience no side effects, though
