Discription of Procedure

Botox is an injectable drug that paralyses small areas of muscle for 3 to 4 months. It is injected around deep expression lines of the forehead and bridge of nose that are caused by overactive muscles of expression.

The muscle is paralyzed over a period of several days and the expression line softens dramatically, becoming less noticeable.

This procedure takes about 15 minutes to perform.

Healing and Downtime

Most patients return to work immediately. There is a slight possibility of temporary bruising that can be easily camouflaged with makeup.

Insurance Coverage

Botox injection is considered cosmetic and therefore is not covered by insurance. The patient is responsible for payment.
