What are potential side effects of laser hair removal?

Although very rare, there are minimal side effects of this procedure. Having a trained person and qualified technician perform the procedure. Many of the stories that we hear where there has been a side effect are due to the technician performing the procedure not being trained properly or not having a supervising physician on site.

you should not have this procedure performed if you have recently been tanning or the pigment in your skin is darker than it normally should be.

This depends on the area of the body you are having the procedure performed. For example, the face needs 6-12 sessions 6 to 8 weeks apart, the back needs 5 to 10 sessions every 2 to 3 months, legs need 5 to 10 sessions every 2-3 months, the under arm area needs 4 to 8 sessions every 3 months.
